London Fashion Week returns in September 2023 with a parade of must see shows.
In joining the festival of fashion this year, Fashion Meets Music is bringing an exclusive showcase of Music, Model and Sustainability with their Reuse Recycle Project to Centrale Shopping Centre on Saturday 16th September.
Croydon will be treated to a preview of 3 stunning sustainable collections along with show-stopping musical performances to rock the mall.
DJ and activities start at 10.30am
11.30am – Upcycling Workshop and Swap Shop (5 Items Max)
Showtime 1pm
3.00pm – Repairs Workshop
There will also be a Sustainable Day happening within the Fashion Meets Music store from 11am – 5pm with activities including up-cycling workshop and repairs workshop.
About Fashion Meets Music Reuse Recycle
Borough of Culture has come to Croydon and Fashion Meets Music is honoured to be delivering one of their flagship projects on Sustainable Fashion. The project named Reuse. Recycle. has seen Fashion Meets Music host several swap shops around the borough encouraging residents to continue the life cycle of their clothing by swapping out their items rather than purchasing new products.
The campaign has also included a donation drive with boxes left in both the shopping centres in Croydon, Centrale and Whitgift. The community has been generously donating unwanted items to be recycled in someone else’s home.
Alongside this, they have been working with young emerging creatives from the borough upskilling them and training them within the creative industries.
On September 16th we will be showcasing the full project by bringing all of the elements together.
