Born and raised in NW London, C-Note began making music at a very young age drawing influences from the likes of Tupac, Michael Jackson, Oasis, Tubby T, Aaliyah, Beres Hammond, Nirvana and Al Green to name but a few.
After a brief incarceration C-Note found himself back in the studio as part of the group KRT. C-Note acknowledges this time spent behind bars as “something that needed to happen to him”. The group KRT released ‘Hold This’ and ‘Hold Another One’ – two mix tapes that generated a promising, underground, hip hop following.
He then decided it was time to branch out as a solo artist and went on to create his on independent label, The Bread Factory. During this time, he formed an allegiance with BlueSteel Management. It was at this point that he began experimenting with various genres of music. To this effect C-Notes’ versatility in style points toward music that cannot be boxed or pigeon-holed.
C-Notes’ first solo single, “I KNOW”, awaits imminent release, whilst his first solo album, yet to be named, is due for release early 2013.
