YouTuber, Latasha Kebe has been ordered to Pay $4 Million After Losing Defamation of Character Lawsuit Against Cardi B

Cardi B sued Latasha Kebe, a YouTuber who posted videos claiming that the rapper had previously been a prostitute and had contracted an STI as well as suffering from drug abuse.

Cardi sued the vlogger for ‘defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress after she previously discussed how the claims left her feeling suicidal.

Latasha made a counter-sue, stating that the ‘WAP’ rapper had threatened her over Instagram direct messages, however, these claims were dismissed. Cardi B filed the lawsuit in March of 2019 and has finally come out on top.

The singer’s legal team stated that ‘none of the aforementioned statements about the plaintiff is true. Plaintiff was never a prostitute or a user of cocaine. Plaintiff has never, and does not now, have herpes, nor has she had herpes outbreaks on her mouth.’

Hey! I’m Nina, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Manchester. I recently became the music content writer here at FMM as I love all things music and all things journalism, so why not combine them! I am originally a singer/songwriter, and have been singing since I was four and writing songs since I was about thirteen! I recently graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music with First Class Honours, so I am now writing all the music content for FMM whilst singing and writing songs on the side. Aside from work, I am really into fitness and weightlifting (I’d say I love it, but no one really loves it). I am also addicted to shopping and really need to stop! Women’s rights and feminism is another huge passion of mine and one day, I hope to be an influential figure in the world of female empowerment.
