The brainchild of Ugandan-Irish born and a Holts Academy trained designer Naki Kaddu, Kizmet Jewellery launched in June 2008 as a statement jewellery label strongly influenced by the designers love for semi-precious stones and bespoke design opportunities.

Kizmet Designer Jewellery derives from a combination of many things, journeys; experiences; people and places; that have all had a bearing on the designer, Naki’s life.

Naki found her passion for making jewellery as a creative and healing outlet providing balance in her life away from a demanding and hectic job in the city.

Spending hours in bead shops dreaming up ideas, escaping from the world outside, she adopted and gathered what soon became an opulent collection of gemstones from all over the world.

But her talent for jewellery came to light when a colleague asked her to make his 5 sisters and mum some Christmas presents. That pressure and expectation motivated Naki to turn her collection of stones into modern, elegant, and wearable adornments. With hard work and late nights her first Bijou range was born.

Naki’s designs attracted the attention of family, friends and colleagues, orders increased through word of mouth and soon the wheels were in motion for the start of her label, Kizmet Jewellery.

Most of Naki’s designs are inspired by Greek Mythology and Eastern cultures. The subtlety of the Greeks yet intricate detail and use of semi-precious stones in their designs to the vibrant contrasts and opulence of traditional jewellery in the East, trips to Bali and many summers in Greece, Naki found a source of inspiration where she now endeavours to portray and share in each design
