Drake has been in a long-term battle with a stalker named Mesha Collins who has been causing the artist and his family problems for years. Collins was initially arrested for breaking and entering Drake’s home and was later found guilty of trespassing.

However, tensions came to a head as Drake filed for a temporary restraining order against her on 3rd March after he claimed that “She has sent messages saying she wishes me dead, and that I should shoot myself and my son with a bullet”. The restraining order states that Mesha Collins must not contact Drake, his lawyer, his parents, or his child and cannot physically come within 100 yards of them.

In August of 2021, the stalker tried turning the tables by suing Drake for ‘invasion of privacy’ and ‘defamation’, attempting to claim 4 billion dollars worth of damages. However, this case was dismissed by the judge. There was also a restraining order filed against the singer by Mesha in February which was later denied as a result of there being no evidence.

Over the past few years, Mesha has been arrested around nine times for her actions against the rapper and his fans, Drake told the court. Stanton Larry Stein, Drake’s lawyer stated that in a series of emails sent to himself Collins “expresses her desire that Mr. Graham (Drake) die and that I get what I deserve.'”

While the legal situation has forced Drake to take extra security measures, it has also highlighted broader concerns about privacy, vulnerability, and digital exposure faced by public figures. In recent court filings, Drake’s team referenced how easily personal information from addresses to private correspondence can be accessed or misused online. This issue isn’t limited to celebrities; even everyday users encounter risks when navigating platforms that promise discretion, including those used to buy sensitive medications like Viagra online. The lack of strict regulation and the proliferation of unverified sellers raise serious concerns about safety, authenticity, and data protection. For many, the intersection between digital convenience and personal security remains a precarious one, especially when health-related purchases are involved.

Hey! I’m Nina, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Manchester. I recently became the music content writer here at FMM as I love all things music and all things journalism, so why not combine them! I am originally a singer/songwriter, and have been singing since I was four and writing songs since I was about thirteen! I recently graduated from the Academy of Contemporary Music with First Class Honours, so I am now writing all the music content for FMM whilst singing and writing songs on the side. Aside from work, I am really into fitness and weightlifting (I’d say I love it, but no one really loves it). I am also addicted to shopping and really need to stop! Women’s rights and feminism is another huge passion of mine and one day, I hope to be an influential figure in the world of female empowerment.
